Today Ralph called another assembly. Ralph starting making rules like he was the
king, which caused lots of argument.
Then another little boy said he saw the beast come out of the sea. We started laughing, but Simon stood up and
defended the boy. He said some garbage about the beast being us, which made
someone start talking about ghosts. Then
Jack stood up, said “Bollocks to the rules!” and ran off whooping. We followed him and danced and whooped until
we were tired.
My name is Eric, and I am stranded on a deserted island. Some other boys, including my twin brother Sam, and I were being evacuated from England when our airplane crashed. We swam to this island and are trying to survive. There are no adults.

Post 4
By my count, we have been on this island for twenty days. We are finally starting to adjust to our new
life. Today, Jack took us hunting. We walked for a long time seeing nothing, but
we came to a clearing where a pig was sitting.
We got in a circle and closed in on it.
Some boys tried to jump on it and it knocked Sam and me over. They hit
the pig and slit its throat. Sam and I
carried it back to the camp.
When we arrived at the camp, Ralph was furious. He said a boat had passed, but there was no
smoke because we let the fire go out.
After a brief argument, Jack apologized.
We went back to the mountain and relit the fire and roasted the pig. It
was the first time in over a week I had meat.

Post 3
We began working on the shelters today. We got a little work done before we took a
break. We ate some fruit and swam for
the rest of the day. Ralph looked a
little annoyed later that night.

Post 2
When the boys returned, Ralph called another assembly. He said we were indeed on an island. Ralph also made a rule about speaking in the
assembly. He said only the person
holding the conch could speak. Then a
little boy with something pink on his face said he saw a beastie, but the boys
laughed and told him it was a dream.
Ralph suggested we build a big fire so a passing boat could
rescue us. We raced to the top of the
mountain and made a big pile of wood.
Then we lit it using Piggy’s glasses.
Jack put the choir in charge of keeping the fire going. Later, Piggy started his fussing, but then he
began to laugh. He pointed at the side
of the mountain, which was now in flames.
We watched the fire then went back to the beach.
Post 1
We have just finished our first assembly. Sam and I were walking along the beach when
we heard a loud sound like a trumpet. We
ran toward the sound and found other boys also searching for its source. We eventually came upon a fat boy who we
later learned was Piggy. When the boy
who was blowing the shell, which he called a conch, finally stopped, he came
over to us. Then a line of boys, led by
one with red hair who said his name was Jack, came and joined us. We decided to elect a chief, and we chose Ralph. He put Jack in charge of the hunters, which
are mainly the choir boys. Ralph, Jack,
and a boy named Simon went off to explore the island. We found some fruit trees and ate from them.
