This morning, we got up and decided to confront Jack, an
idea I did not wholeheartedly approve of.
We left later that morning armed with spears. We could see their smoke as we approached the
camp. Roger, perched on a high rock,
announced our arrival. As the
unrecognizable, painted savages arrive, Ralph began to blow the conch; he
declared he was calling an assembly.
Jack appeared from behind us, and he and Ralph began to talk and
argue. Then, they starting fighting;
they threw spears and attempted to stab each other. Jack told his savages to grab Sam and me, and
they proceeded to tie us up. Then, that
evil Roger pushed a giant rock toward us, knocking Piggy off the cliff and
crushing the shell. Shocked, Ralph
turned and ran, an action Jack took as a sign of victory. He then turned to Sam and me. He began poking us in the ribs and commanding
us to join his tribe. We reluctantly
agreed.
